P5
a) treatment or proposal
A 2D adventure game set in space “endless”. You play as an astronaut called Tim who has now been stranded on an alien planet after a asteroid hits his ship and knocks him off course. The game will focus on collecting fuel and and parts of your ship from different planets to try and make it back to earth. The main mechanics of the game will be the orbit each planet will have and you will have to judge the orbit of each planet to try and land on that planet and not end up in the vacuum of space. There will be a score system based on how many planets you land on.
Research into games like Dune helped influence the idea for this game as that game shares a similar gravity element as its main mechanic and so I thought we could use that gravity element and apply it to many planets to create a new mechanic and a lot of new elements to our game. Dune also being a endless game was at the time within the top five games of the App Store and the google play store which means the endless genre was on the top of the games market at the time. Because of the popularity within the endless genre and the success of the genre on mobile platforms Get Tim Home will be a mobile game as it will have an increased chance with being successful and popular as the genre is popular.

Ethical
Issue
Reasoning/ solving
A Man is the main character
This was done because of the title of the game is called get Tim home and this was done to have a pun in it as a result the main character is a guy and is not done due to any other reason.
Death is portrayed
This is reasonable as we will say that you lost not you died to avoid this issue

Sound track is not created by us

The music we picked in royalty free
Unity is not fully free software
We do not plan to publish the game, even if we did there would be no revenue source included, as there would not be adverts or purchasable
Because of these reasons the game would be rated a 7 by PEGI.
